Caught in the Storm
The battering winds had increased in strength in the past hour as had the onslaught of memories flooding her mind. She had received the long awaited news she so desperately desired to hear for the past few years causing the churning turmoil that had tormented her mercilessly, to which the weather was now reflecting quite skillfully. With growing anticipation and impatience, she adjusted her scarf just to have it stolen away in the clutches of a relentless gust trapping it to the nearby tree. Intending to retrieve it, her steps faltered as her breath caught in her lungs. There in the distance, on the horizon, the sails billowed bringing peace to her storm; her love was home from sea.
